Quilt Mending & Repair
Well-loved doesn't have to mean finished.
Older quilts naturally show their years of use. Torn fabric, open seams, worn binding and damaged sections can often be stabilized and repaired while keeping the character that makes the quilt special.
Services may include:
- Small tear repair
- Patching and reinforcement
- Stabilizing weakened areas
- Repairing damaged quilt blocks or strips
- Re-quilting repaired sections
- Binding repair
- Full binding replacement
Quilt repairs starting at $35
Each quilt is different, so I'll inspect its condition before providing a final quote.
My goal isn't necessarily to make an older quilt look brand new. It's to preserve what I can, repair what needs attention, and help it continue being loved and used.
Keepsake Sewing & Repurposing
Some fabric holds more than fabric.
Baby clothes. A favorite aloha shirt. Clothing from someone you love. Fabric connected to a special season of your family's life.
If you're not ready to part with it, we may be able to turn it into something you can continue to use, hold or pass down.
Keepsake projects may include:
Memory pillows • Keepsake quilts • Bags • Zipper pouches • Stuffed keepsakes • Small accessories
Have something meaningful but aren't sure what to make?
That's okay.
