About us
Kakekukeko was created from a love of sewing, creativity, and family. What started as a simple hobby at home slowly grew into something much bigger—a way to support our family, share handmade pieces with others, and teach our keiki valuable life lessons along the way.
As a stay-at-home mom of four, this business is woven into our everyday life. My children see firsthand what it means to work hard, be patient, solve problems, create with purpose, and care for others. They help inspire so much of what Kakekukeko is.
When I first started, I knew very little about running a business. Through time, mistakes, and learning as I go, I’ve grown more confident as a business owner. I believe there is always room to learn, improve, and grow—and that is something I hope to pass on to my children every day.
As our family grows, this business will grow with us. Kakekukeko is not just about what we make today, but what we are building together for the future.
Each item is thoughtfully made with heart, using prints and styles that feel warm, joyful, and connected to island life. We believe handmade things carry a different kind of meaning—the time, love, and intention behind every piece.
Kakekukeko is more than a small business. It is our family journey, our creative outlet, and a reminder that beautiful things can grow from humble beginnings.
Mahalo for being here and supporting our ʻohana.
